David Baszucki is the founder and CEO of Roblox. His vision is to build a global platform that brings people together through play.

David was named one of Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs in 2017, 2018, and 2019. He was also listed by Comparably as one of the Top CEOs for Diversity in 2018 and 2019. He is regularly featured in The Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, Forbes, Business Insider, VentureBeat, and other influential publications.

Prior to Roblox, David founded Knowledge Revolution, which became the volume leader in educational physics and mechanical design simulation software. The company was acquired by MSC Software in 1998 where he served as Vice President and General Manager.

David graduated from Stanford University as a General Motors Scholar in Electrical Engineering.

Matthew Curtis  serves as Vice President of Developer Relations at Roblox. In this role, he leads the team responsible for engaging with, supporting, and championing millions of innovative developers around the world creating immersive multiplayer experiences on the Roblox platform.

A seasoned product and marketing expert, Matthew has more than a decade of experience creating and leading teams responsible for multiple top-grossing free-to-play games totaling over $1 billion in revenue, including Words with Friends 2, CSR Racing 2, Zynga Poker, Kingdoms of Camelot, and The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth. Previously, he led growth marketing at Zynga where he supported eight global studios. Prior to that, he led product management and monetization at Kabam.

Matthew earned a BS in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego.

Adam Miller leads the development of immersive game experiences through innovations in our physics and rendering engines as Vice President of Engineering, Technology for Roblox. He oversees the Roblox Game Engine, the Roblox Studio development tools, as well as our mobile and console engineering teams to optimize performance across all devices.

Adam has spent more than 20 years building, leading, and managing software development through all layers of the stack and development process. Previously, he served as Director of Software Engineering at Intertrust where he architected digital rights management technology and directed the development of an incubated start-up. In 2001, he created the massively multiplayer online game Star Sonata, which was later acquired by Landauer Games.

Adam graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Yale University.

 

James Onnen (Quenty) is the developer of Whatever Floats your Boat, which has been played 50 million times, and is featured in two Roblox books. James, who recently turned 23, is a veteran developer on Roblox for 10 years, and is known for his plugins, assets, and open source resources. James has interned at Roblox on the Studio team, was previously a Roblox accelerator this year, and is about to start working at Microsoft on developer tools.

Alex Balfanz (Badcc) is the developer of Jailbreak, a cops-and-robbers game which has been played 3.5 billion times by hundreds of millions of players around the world, has spawned multiple action figures and playsets, and has had over 100 weekly/monthly feature and content additions. Alex, who recently turned 21, just hit his 10 year milestone of developing on Roblox, and will be working on the autopilot team at Tesla this summer.

Lucy Sweet (IntegerUnderflow) is an engineer living in Cheltenham working as a Systems Engineer at Team Adopt Me. Before joining the Adopt Me team I've previously worked in Google Security & Privacy and Barclaycard Data and Strategic Analytics. Outside of Adopt Me, I run the Blade analytics website and I'm an Invited Expert on Google VRG.

Trey Renolds (AxisAngle) is known for his role in the development of Phantom Forces, among small math-centric contributions to many other games. Trey has been a Roblox accelerator twice, first in 2016 and again in 2020.

Shawn Cormier (Aotrou) is an environment artist that mostly uses Roblox, Blender, and Clip Studio for my work. I graduated with honors in public relations which brought me to Roblox as a marketing intern in 2018, while I was simultaneously developing the 2018 Egg Hunt as the building lead. Recently I've been a part of the Roblox UGC program as well as the Community Champions group on the developer forum. Outside of game development I have a lifetime of theatre experience, both on stage and backstage, am an avid reader, and love tea!

Anne Shoemaker (Mytza) joined Roblox in 2011 and quickly found passion for developing games. Many projects were started, few saw the light of day, but they were all very beneficial to her growth as a game designer. Since that time, she has gone on to create My Droplets, an experience with millions of play sessions. After participating in the accelerator program with a couple of different teams, she has learned many valuable lessons in team management. She founded Fullflower Studio as part of her quest to bring meaningful experiences to the world.

Ivan Curkendall (Bluay) is an artist at ROLVe specializing in animation. I’ve been animating for nine years and making games on Roblox for six years. I believe in raising the art quality standard on Roblox so the platform has more room to grow and captivate more creative minds of all ages.

 

Andrea Fletcher worked on the accessibility team at Apple, developing features for people with disabilities before joining Roblox. I love the fast-paced, scrappy environment at Roblox, and a lot of the people I've met here have become some of my best friends. When I am not working, you can find me taking long walks or bike rides outside, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with friends.

Arseny Kapoulkine has worked on game technology for the past decade in areas such as rendering, physics simulation, language runtimes, multithreading, and many others. After helping to ship many titles on PlayStation 3, including several FIFA games, I joined Roblox in 2012 and have been working on the in-house engine ever since, helping young game developers achieve their dreams.

Sunder Raman joined Roblox in late 2019 with over 17 years of technical and product experience. Before Roblox, I worked at Microsoft for 15 years working on various products from Visual Studio to Office suite. When I am not working, I enjoy training in martial arts and goofing around with my two little boys..

Robert Melly has been working in product development for seven years. Prior to Roblox, I developed CAD software at Autodesk, built factory management software (and ran the factory!) at Shapeways, and designed jet engines at GE Aviation. Outside of work I love spending time with my family (especially my 1.5 year old son) and playing frustrating video games. I'm still working on a SL1 run through Dark Souls 3 (other two complete!).

 

Deepak Chandrasekaran (Sorcus) is responsible for building and expanding the tools and technology that power the developer experience as Vice President of Product, Developer at Roblox. Since joining Roblox in early 2011 as a Software Engineer, Sorcus has held a number of leadership positions within the company. He previously served as Engineering Manager (2012-2014) and Director of Product Development (2014-2019) where he and his team drove major technological innovations in Roblox’s social ecosystem, avatar framework, and core user experience.


Matt Brown is the Senior Director of Product for the Avatar Marketplace team. Before coming to Roblox two years ago to direct all things avatar, he was a technical director, design director and creative director in the AAA gaming industry, on beloved franchises such as FIFA, The Sims, Overwatch and God of War. When he's not making bad jokes or playfully insulting his coworkers, he hangs out with his dog, parrot and two cats, coding odd little things that no one will ever see.

Matthew Dean is the product leader for the Universal Content team, which enables creator content to span the globe through localization & content ratings. He made his Roblox account in 2009 and went on to develop a Roblox game Catalog Heaven in 2011 which has since garnered over 200 million plays. In 2013 he interneed as an engineer before joining the company and switching to product management in 2016. Before the dark times he enjoyed playing dodgeball but now spends more of his time reading blogs and hiking.


Claus Moberg  leads the Applications group, which includes the Universal App, Game Discovery, and Social teams, in their mission to seamlessly and intuitively connect players to their favorite Roblox experiences on all devices as Vice President of Engineering.

Claus joined Roblox in 2016 as an Engineering Director and was quickly promoted to more senior roles, successfully leading the teams responsible for completely rebuilding Roblox’s mobile application infrastructure and UI. Before joining Roblox, Claus was the founder and CEO of SnowShoe where he built physical transaction authentication hardware for mobile devices.

Ravi Akella leads the Product Management team for Studio, the tools used to create all the amazing experiences on Roblox. Ravi joined Roblox during the week of RDC 2018 and was immediately struck by the incredible imagination and energy of our community. Prior to Roblox, he spent a decade working on simulation, 3D modeling and collaboration solutions at Autodesk. Ravi looks forward to traveling again post-pandemic and exploring the world with his family, especially his daughter. For now, he is exploring the worlds within Roblox with her.


Richard Sim leads product for Roblox’s Commerce products. Richard’s team builds the systems that allow Roblox to accept payments, manage our virtual marketplace, support our currency, pay our developers and creators, and offer new subscription and ad products. Two years ago, Richard joined Roblox after seeing how passionate all three of his kids were about playing Roblox with their friends. Prior to joining, Richard ran monetization at Wish Shopping in 2018. He also helped build the ad system at Facebook from 2010-2017. Richard is an avid mountain biker, skier and fisherman. His avatar is named Auggadoodle, after his pet beagle Auggie.


 

Michael Rich, MD, MPH, FAAP, FSAHM is the Founder and Director of the Center on Media and Child Health, an academic center of excellence at Boston Children’s Hospital dedicated to investigating, translating, and innovating with media to optimize the physical, mental, academic and social-emotional health and development of children and adolescents. Dr. Rich advises pediatricians, educators and parents on how to optimize child development in the Digital Age at www.askthemediatrician.org. He has developed innovative media-based research methodologies, including Video Intervention/Prevention Assessment (VIA) and Measurement of Youth Media Exposure (MYME). Having served as PI on research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health and foundations in the United States and Canada, Dr. Rich is currently fielding Growing Up Digital (GUD) Alberta, following several thousand Canadian children with MYME in a prospective longitudinal study.

Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Associate Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dr. Rich has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed research papers, 40 book chapters and research reports, pediatric practice policies, and testified to the US Congress and other policymakers on his research findings. His research innovation has been honored with awards from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, and he has served as Visiting Professor at medical schools and universities around the globe. A strong advocate of applying research findings to clinical care and evaluating the interventions that result, Dr. Rich is the founding director of the Clinic on Interactive Media and Internet Disorders at Boston Children’s Hospital, the first evidence-based clinical program designed to address Problematic Interactive Media Use (PIMU) in children, adolescents and young adults, helping them adopt and sustain healthy lifestyles and behaviors.
