Michael Aguirre, LMSW-AP
Michael Aguirre, LMSW-AP, is a seasoned leader in government administration with 15 years of experience and a passion for serving both staff and stakeholders. Michael began his government career, serving as a governor appointed Board Member with the Minnesota Board of Social Work, relocating back to Texas to begin working at the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services and the Health and Human Services Commission before joining the Department of Family and Protective Services. As a Program Administrator for Texas Adult Protective Services in the Austin–El Paso District, he oversees operations in Central Texas (Austin/Bastrop/Georgetown/San Marcos area), providing consultation on complex, sensitive, and high-profile cases. Michael ensures service quality, compliance, and the professional growth of management and direct service staff. A proud University of Texas at Austin alumnus with a BSW, he also holds an MSW in Management of Human Services and Geriatrics from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
