Brian’s focus today at SIMA is in technology, marketing, and operations, but he also serves as a project manager on new initiatives and projects for the snow industry.

During his career in the association market, he has been involved in hundreds of software selection and advice projects. He has a diverse experience in multiple application software solutions including AMS Membership management software, Donor management, ERP, Marketing automation, and CRM software.
Over the course of his career, he has taken on the role of certified engineer, certified implementer of multiple software applications, technical support, & managed numerous CRM software projects, ERP, Accounting, & membership management.
He is currently the founder and chief evangelist charged with executing the SmartThoughts mission of his company which is to align executives who are searching for the right software solutions with vendor partners who provide the best fit. He has written numerous articles, software product reviews, membership comparison software pieces, & interviewed hundreds of software vendors who provide solutions for the association market. He is continually evaluating options which will solve the challenges of association executives.
His greatest achievement has been assisting nonprofits, associations, & the business community in selecting the software organizations needed to provide sustainable returns.
