Zeeba Khalili is the Chief of Staff and Acting Director of Grantmaking at Marguerite Casey Foundation. As Chief of Staff, Zeeba serves as a strategic advisor to drive the Foundation’s transition and growth. She oversees all programmatic and operational aspects of the Office of the President, improving efficiency and scaling excellence through organizing, analyzing, and developing priorities, capabilities and relationships. As Acting Director of Grantmaking, she guides and implements the Foundation’s grantmaking strategy, and oversees its management and development. Throughout her career, Zeeba has been devoted to searching for clear and effective solutions to the complex problems challenging our communities. Prior to becoming Chief of Staff, Zeeba was the Learning and Evaluation Officer at the Foundation.
She joined the Foundation as a member of Philanthropy Northwest’s 2017-2019 Momentum Fellowship cohort. Before coming to the Foundation, Zeeba worked at the United Way of King County, the Seattle Foundation, and several youth development and mentoring organizations in Boston, including Summer Search, Mass Mentoring, and Friends of the Children-Boston. Currently, she serves on the King County Women’s Advisory Board. Born in Olathe, Kansas, Zeeba earned a master’s degree in public administration and a certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Washington’s Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy & Governance.
