Following the successful publication of the special issue "Plasma Science Crossroads 2023”, we have agreed with the publisher Elsevier to launch a second special issue associated with the International Conference series on Fundamental Plasma Physics, which will be entitled  “Plasma Science Crossroads 2025”.

Participants to the Austin FPP conference are strongly encouraged to submit an article to the special issue. Their intention to submit must be declared directly on the conference registration form (although this will not be taken as a firm commitment). Deadline for submission through a dedicated webpage (instructions will follow) will be 30 June 2025.

Please note that the special issue is not intended as conference proceedings. Articles submitted for the special issue will all be anonymously peer-reviewed. Published articles will present original results, as well as critical reviews and perspectives regarding developments in the field of plasma physics research.

Benefits from publishing on the special are threefold: (1) all accepted manuscripts will be published gold open access with no publication charges; (2) we guarantee a speedy and friendly reviewing process, with one anonymous referee selected among the conference participants; (3) the special issue will represent a forum and a showcase for the unique nature of the FPP conference series and for our community of scientists.
