Tomas Lopez has advised Trusted Elections Fund on its work to advance election crisis planning and response infrastructure at the state and national levels. He served previously as Executive Director of Democracy North Carolina, a state-based nonpartisan group that under his leadership staged one of the country's largest nonpartisan voter protection programs, won pro-voter outcomes from election administrators through organizing and with legal partners, and grew its staff and infrastructure. Prior to that, Tomas was an attorney at the Brennan Center for Justice, where he litigated voting rights cases, and spent his early legal career at the Southern Poverty Law Center.
