Jonathan Mehta Stein is a civil rights attorney and democracy reform advocate. Jonathan became the Executive Director of California Common Cause in 2020 following 10 years on the organization's Board of Directors. Prior to becoming ED at California Common Cause, Jonathan served as the head of the Voting Rights & Census Program at the civil rights organization Asian Law Caucus and as a voting rights staff attorney for the ACLU of California. He is a former Chair of the Oakland Public Ethics Commission.
